Part 15 Radio Product Reviews and Lab Evaluations

The mission of the equipment review area is to give the Part 15 radio broadcaster the ability to learn about equipment and services that will assist you in a positive low power broadcasting experience. The primary objective is to educate and inform on the potential benefits and downfalls of the evaluated products.

Equipment and Product Reviews:

Lab Reviews By The HobbyBroadcaster.net Staff
User Reviews Written By Part 15 Radio Station Operators

Lab Reviews are conducted by the HobbyBroadcaster.net staff and usually take place in the evaluation lab. A balanced objective view is presented for both the non-technical novice as well as the broadcast-oriented technican enthusiast who wants more of an "under the hood" look. Reviews are written from the station operator's prospective and are independent of whether a vendor is an advertiser on HobbyBroadcaster.net, supplied an evaluation sample or long-term loaner or if the evaluation sample was purchased outright. In many cases, other qualified tradespeople, installers, broadcast professionals as well as experienced users may contribute to the review process to provide their input.

User Reviews are written by knowledgeable end users and station operators who have used the particular product which is the subject of the review. Since the review is written directly by a station operator this is a good source of how a product operates in the field and how it may benefit your station's operation.

The product review team are ready for next product lab evaluations. Part 15 broadcasters are encouraged to suggest products to be evaluated in the test lab. Manufacturers are welcomed to inquire about submitting their equipment for lab evaluation.

Likewise, if you would like to share your product experiences with fellow Part 15 station operators you are welcome to submit your own review for publication here on HobbyBroadcaster.net. We are happy to give you guidance on how to write your review and submit your product photographs.
