Part 15 Radio Stations in North America (USA):

Please note: While some Part 15 broadcasters have "adopted" call letters to identify their stations for a variety of reasons (tribute to a former station, format, etc) there may be licensed terrestrial stations operating elsewhere using the same call sign. A generally practiced rule of Part 15 operators is to identity their station in a manner to prevent confusion with their local broadcast stations, such as through the use of a slogan instead of using call letters, otherwise station operators are free to identify their Part 15 radio station in any manner they choose.
